Rose and Honey Homemade Face Mask

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIt was a cold windy Sunday and we had nothing to do. Rekha was bored out of her mind, Moby Dick opened in front of her but she wasn’t looking at the pages. So I had an idea that could lighten up the mood. “Let’s make homemade face masks!” I said. It didn’t take me long to find the perfect recipe. A Rose and Honey face mask. Even though we are bordering winter, we still have plenty of roses in the garden and the rest of the ingredients are overflowing in this kitchen: oats, milk and honey. Recipe here IMG_2053 Rekha and I were laughing our heads off in the bathroom while putting on the mixture on our faces. It kept on sliding off onto our lips and we resorted to licking it. “It tastes better than my morning porridge.” Said Rekha. And again we burst out laughing. “Ok I think our best bet is to go lie down for the next 10minutes now otherwise we’ll just end up eating our faces.” And so we did. 10 minutes later when we went back into the bathroom to clean the rose mask off, I realise half of it had dripped on my T-shirt. Ok I tell a lie, just a bit, but still, it looked like a baby had gagged over me. “Wow your skin does look much better!” Said the ever so sweet Rekha. “Your face does look so much better as well!” Said I ever so not-subtly. Luckily she didn’t take it the wrong way and we just ended up laughing hysterically. So if you guys are bored or just looking for ways to pamper yourselves without spending a fortune, try that recipe, I swear it works. And you can always eat the leftovers 😉 Xoxo – From the mountains with Love   IMG_2058
